Make cool Animations with MAX7219 8×8 led dot matrix display. It is a serial driven module so that it doesn’t require more pins for Interface. You can easily connect with your Arduino or any other Microcontrollers. Applications like scrolling displays, Animation displays, Text, Small image and other sequential applications.
The MAX7219 chip makes it easier to control the dot matrix, by just using 3 digital pins.
You can control more than one matrix at a time. For that you just need to connect them to each other, as they have pins in both sides to extend the dot matrix.
