Description

Orange LifePo4 4S 12.8V 10A Battery Management System Circuit is a 4 Cell in Series 12.8V circuit mostly used for solar lighting and battery packs. Note that, Lithium Ion and Lithium Ferro Phosphate are different in charging parameters. It is designed for Lithium Ferro Phosphate (LiFePO4) Batteries for charging, Protection from Overcharge, and Over-discharge. The battery protection board, as the name suggests battery protection board is mainly rechargeable and protects the integrated circuit board.

Difference between Li-Ion BMS and LiFePO4 BMS:

Lithium Ion: 1 Cell Nominal Voltage is 3.7 Volt. We cannot get any nearest voltage with Li-Ion BMS to LiFePO4 Batteries. A 3S makes it to 11.1V or 4S makes it to 14.8V. So Do not use a Li-Ion BMS for LiFePO4 Batteries.

LiFePO4 Battery: 1 Cell Nominal Voltage is 3.2 Volt. Hence 4 Cells in Series, the recommended BMS is 12.8 Volt (Recommended)

Lithium batteries (rechargeable type) need protection determined by their own characteristics for efficient and safe performance. To protect batteries from overcharge, over-discharge, overcurrent, short circuit, and ultra-high temperature charge and discharge, lithium battery lithium components will always follow A protective plate with a sampling resistor, and a current fuse.
